| The remarkable New SOLIDEAL grey non-marking tyre. (Monday 26th October 2009) The innovation and key features of SOLIDEAL’s new grey non marking tyres:
* Overall better cosmetic look and appearance
* Less sensitive for contaminations in manufacturing and in use
* Improved color stability in manufacturing
* Improved adhesion to steel
* Overall better mechanical properties, including tensile strength, elongation at break, tearing resistance, abrasion, thus improved durability and life
* Lower rolling resistance, energy consumption and heat built up.
* Considerable Longer Fatigue Life
* Extra age resistance due to the presence of Natural Antioxidants
* No Bleaching Agents added, which do have a long term weakening effect on white rubbers.
* Improved UV resistance
Constructive features:
* Resilient tyres have a 3 layer construction with grey non marking tread, black non staining middle and black normal heel compound. The sidewalls are covered with the grey non marking tread compound and the black non staining middle guarantees a stable color of the sidewalls.
* Pneumatic tyres will have a bead to bead grey non marking tread and sidewall compound. Some discoloration of the sidewalls due to the staining of the black carcass compound is likely to be expected, but less then on the today’s white version.
* Press-on cushion tyres are one layer tyres with a machine grey anti corrosive paint at the steel band. Storage in a dry place remains however a must.
In order to identify the difference in between profiled and smooth tyres and in between grey and white NM, the protective PE film will have ash color for TR and brown color for SM tyres.
